Here is another amazing Combo Hunt that Ultimate Hunt Giveaways is excited to be offering to one of our lucky winners. This prize covers all the guiding services, accommodations, tags & licenses for both a Muskox as well as a Caribou or second Muskox in Greenland. This unique hunting experience is sure to be a Hunt of a Lifetime.

Greenland remains one of the world’s most pristine and unique destinations for adventurous hunters who truly enjoy the experience as much as they enjoy the hunt itself. Greenland is the world’s largest island, surrounded by ocean and ice, with plentiful wildlife and hosted by a generational outfitting family that has made a living from sustainable hunting. Best of all, they offer this opportunity for muskox and caribou in some of the most game rich areas of the Greenland, reached by jet boat or helicopter during the early fall months and by ATV during the later fall months. With two private and remote concessions no other outfitter can hunt on, success rates are simply unbeatable, with 100% of muskox hunters filling their tags since 1996. Perhaps more importantly, this hunt overwhelmingly produces some of the most favorable post-hunt client feedback, with exceptional reviews of the outfitter and their staff and their commitment to client satisfaction!

The Hunt

This outfitter operates in one of the highest game densities of Greenland. Additionally, this outfitter is one of the very few in Greenland who control their own exclusive hunting concessions no other outfitters can hunt. This has enabled them to selectively manage their game, taking only old, mature muskox and enjoying a 100% past success rate on muskox bulls since 1996. They intentionally only harvest roughly 70% of their annual quota to maintain sustainable hunting on a long-term basis and to provide additional tags on-hand for anyone who decides to take additional trophies while in camp.

Shooting distances average 50 to 300 yards for rifle hunters and 20 to 40 yards for archery hunters. It is very common to shoot a muskox on the first day of the hunt, using the additional days to fill your secondary tag . The secondary tag which we have included in this Prize entitles our winner to harvest either a second muskox or a caribou, whichever the winner chooses. Immature bulls as well as female muskox are not taken as only old, mature bulls are harvested.

Small game including arctic fox, arctic hare or ptarmigan are also available for our winner to enjoy hunting after their tags have been filled. There is no cost for small game, and small game rifles are provided.

Native caribou in this region of Greenland (Central Canadian Barren Ground per GSCO and SCI classifications) are fully grown by early August, and hard horned by late August or early September. Success rates on caribou are very high with nearly every past client taking one who has wanted one, but more physical effort may be required depending on season and distance from camp the hunters and guide must walk. That said, some quality bulls are taken by lucky hunters close to camp, particularly later in the season when the bulls are moving during the rut.

During the month of October when the caribou are rutting and have moved away from their summering areas, the outfitter can hunt these animals, as well as muskox, directly from the town of Kangerlussuaq by ATV and/or by boat as the animals are found around the fjord. These hunts will utilize a hotel in town for accommodations (included in the hunt). Breakfast and lunch daily during the hunt is included and the hunters will have the opportunity to enjoy dinners of their choice (not included) at the local hotels/restaurants
