Newfoundland is famous for having the highest moose population density on the planet. Here is a your opportunity to win a Helicopter Fly-In Moose / Black Bear Combo hunt in one of the most remote parts of Newfoundland. The winner will be flown in by Helicopter to one of 3 remote lodges operated by this outfitter. All 3 lodges are located within remote Wilderness and Ecological Reserves on the Buchans Plateau, where no other hunters are permitted except those with your outfitter. The outfitter has been operating in this part of the province for so long, (even before the area was designated as a reserve) that he has been grandfathered in as the only outfitter permitted to operate there. That means you can expect to see more moose and larger moose than most parts of Newfoundland without the pressure of other hunters or locals.
You will be guided 1 on 1 by a very experienced guide. You can expect to be hunting open and wooded areas as well as lakes, knolls and mountains. This hunt is booked during the prime part of the Newfoundland Moose rut and you will be glassing and then stalking or your guide will call moose in for you. This remote area holds healthy big game populations and offers the hunter the opportunity to take the animal of one’s choice and the potential of making that once-in-a-lifetime moose harvest which may qualify for Boone and Crockett or Pope and Young recognition.
In addition to your Moose hunt the winner will also have the opportunity to harvest one of the large number of Black Bear found in this area.
Included in this Prize: your helicopter charter flight in and out of the lodge from Red Deer, Nfld, all lodging, meals, guiding, trophy prep, license / tags, taxes and we have even covered the cost of having your trophy flow out by either helicopter or float plane.
